Palestinian artist Rakan Alyousif has participated in exhibitions in Lebanon creating work in homage to Naji al-Ali, a political cartoonist and Palestinian activist who was assassinated for his work. When asked about the activist exhibitions, Alyousif replies “Honestly, the goal of the exhibition was to bring to the attention of the public, community, and even the organizations to the fact that there are artists in the camp… There is a lot of hidden talent in the community, and if there was support, there could be change… and in the end, art is an instrument of change.”
