Internationally known Adel El Siwi has shown his work extensively with exhibitions as far across the globe as Brazil and Mexico. In 1996, he established a pioneer community arts project in Kom Ghorab, Old Cairo. While he studied medicine at Cairo University, he was engaged in independent study at the Faculty of Fine Arts between 1974-1975. Afterward, he was working in Milan, Italy, for around 10 years before moving back to Cairo. His work can be found in public and private collections such as: Sharjah Art Foundation, UAE; Mathaf, Qatar; Institut du monde Arabe, France; Greater Cairo Library, Egypt; Kamel Lazaar Foundation; British Museum, London; The Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, UAE; and Museum of Modern Egyptian Art, Egypt.
